The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made. This specific 1969 Datejust Ref. 1601 retains its original Grey "Pie Pan" stick marker dial and original white gold fluted bezel. This piece would make a great start for a new vintage collector, or be a great addition to an expanding collection. We love the early Rolex Datejust for its simplicity and its classic sophistication. This specific example just received a complete overhaul and is running flawlessly!

SPECS

CASE & BRACELET

The previously lightly polished case retains thick and even lugs, exhibiting no wear from use. The white gold fluted bezel has been previously lightly polished and shows no wear. The Rolex 6251H rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces is in great overall condition showing medium stretch. 

DIAL & HANDS

The grey "pie-pan" dial is in flawless condition, showing no marks or wear from age. The tritium lume dots have an excellent golden patina and exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and show no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The metallic date wheel with closed 6's and 9's was replaced during an early service with Rolex.
