The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and beloved Rolex watches ever made. Launched in 1945, it has remained a timeless classic, instantly recognizable as an item of true quality and functional design. We love the early Rolex Datejust for its simplicity and its classic sophistication. Perfectly worn in any setting from formal to casual. The silver "Linen" dial is uncommon and very much desirable among the vintage Rolex collector community as it is striking and gets its nickname from the texture of the dial pattern, which is reminiscent of linen cloth.

SPECS

CASE & BRACELET

The strong case retains thick and symmetrical lugs, featuring crisp factory finishing and edges with honest signs of use present and no notable evidence of being previously polished. The white gold fluted bezel is in wonderful condition with minimal signs of use. The original Rolex 6251H rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces retains 24 links that show normal stretch for the style and age of the bracelet and will fit up to an 8 1/4-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The original non-luminous linen "pie-pan" dial is beautiful and in near-perfect condition, with the only imperfection being nominal aging at the very edges of the dial. The onyx enamel inlay is fully intact throughout the markers. The original onyx enamel inlaid hands are in excellent condition and show no damage within the enamel. The metallic date wheel is original with "closed" 6's and 9's, which is correct for this era.

ACCESSORIES 

None. None. The watch is running and functioning correctly, though the service history is unknown. A movement service can be purchased upon request.
