The 1000 series came at a crucial time for the company as the late 1970s as the majority of the Swiss watch manufacturers ceased making mechanical wrist watches and switched to quartz circuit based time pieces as the quartz crisis took hold and became standard production at the specific period of time. The 1000 series is the watch that embodies classic and high-quality quartz precision and the 1000 series was the watch that saved the Tag Heuer brand altogether.

CASE & BRACELET

The case and bracelet of this Tag Heuer 1000 series diver are in remarkable condition. The case shows gentle wear and the Tag Heuer jubilee flip lock style bracelet shows a very light stretch. The mineral glass crystal shows some light surface marks from general use. The original bezel insert is missing the tritium pearl at the 12 o'clock position and shows light wear from general use.
